Intimacy with God
Walk in the Full Fellowship with God You Desire!
You were created for intimacy.

You were created for fellowship not only with others, but also with God.

In the Garden of Eden, God desired to walk with Adam and Eve, but their minds had already been corrupted by disobedience.

Scripture tells us that they were aware of their nakedness and “hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.”

From that point forward, God began to devise a way for His fallen family to be restored to Him.
The offspring of woman would crush the head of the devil and restore full fellowship between God and His creation. Jesus is the Promised Offspring and has made a way for that restoration on the cross.

Not only has He given you His righteousness, but He has placed His Spirit within you so that you can, even NOW, be restored to intimacy as you await the final restoration of all things.

God desires your fellowship.

But how do you enter into that fullness of fellowship?

This class will give you useful tools and show you how you can walk in the full fellowship with God that you desire.
In this class, you will learn to:
• Know God and be known by Him
• Enter into a greater awareness of God’s Father heart
• Unlock the doors that are holding you back from greater intimacy

• Practice the Presence of God

Class Overview
Overview of the Intimacy with God 10-Lesson class:
Lesson 1 – Created for Relationship
What is the meaning of life? Why were we created? Why are we here? The answers to these questions are found in the very beginning of the Bible. This lesson will explore our original purpose and design to walk in deep intimacy with the creator of the universe.
Lesson 2 – Father’s Heart
To be loved, but not really known is meaningless and shallow. To be known, but not loved is devastating and crushing. To be totally known and unconditionally loved comes only from one Source—your Father God. In a generation of “father wounds” from earthly fathers and other authority figures, you can experience the father love of God whether or not you have had the blessing of our earthly father or authority figure.

Lesson 3 – Unlocking the Door to Intimacy
Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. But past experiences, especially from a parent or someone in authority, can scar you and thwart your ability to trust. God wants to heal your heart. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to open doors in your emotions that have been tightly closed because of past hurts, allowing the fresh wind of the Spirit to heal and transform you so that you can know, trust and love God fully.
Lesson 4 – Walking with God
Do you want to commune with God like never before? Do you want experience that goes beyond teachings, meetings, and event-orientated Christianity? Is it possible to actually interact with God the same way as with your best friend? Do you enjoy your relationship with God? Are you motivated to seek Him and connect to Him throughout your day? In this lesson, you’ll discover how to walk with God in friendship through the Holy Spirit.

Lesson 5 – Hearing God’s Voice
God is still speaking. Are you tuned to hearing? The Bible is replete with examples of God speaking both through the confirmed revelation of His Word, but also to your inner spirit—bringing direction, encouragement and blessing. Perhaps like young Samuel, you want to be sure that you are hearing His voice. No matter how long you have known the Lord, this lesson will teach you to grow in your ability to hear well and respond quickly to the voice of God.
Lesson 6 – Practicing the Presence of God
How do you “pray in the spirit with all kinds of prayers and requests?” How do you move from emotional cycles of up and down swings in your relationship with God to a consistent abiding? What key did the wise virgins possess that enabled them to have the oil in their lamps keep burning into the darkness of night? In this lesson, you’ll discover the Biblical keys to practicing the presence of God.

Lesson 7 – Sustaining Intimacy
Perhaps you have had occasional encounters or even overwhelming experiences with the Lord, but how can you cultivate a lifestyle of intimacy? In this lesson we’ll explore the lives of men and women in Scripture who have sustained a lifetime of intimacy. By following their examples, you’ll learn to walk in closer and closer fellowship with Jesus, listening continually for His Holy Spirit and walking in fullness of joy to the end of your days.
Lesson 8 – Intimacy Breakers
Why do we lose intimacy with God? What hinders our connection with the savior of our souls? You can learn to discern and deflect the patterns of the world, the lies of the enemy and the temptations of the flesh that steal your intimacy with God. Many times, your heart is in the right place, but your schedule is so busy that your intimacy is robbed. Sometimes the very gifts God gives you can lure you away from your first love.

Lesson 9 – Bible Characters and Intimacy
Why have certain biblical characters—Moses, David, Daniel, Esther, Ruth, Peter, John, Paul—become your heroes? Perhaps it is because you see in them characteristics you need and desire. By looking into the lives of these men and women of God, observing their relationships and intimacy with the Lord, you will find keys for responding well in often very difficult situations.

Lesson 10 – Spreading Intimacy
According to the book of Genesis, your original design is to be fruitful and multiply. True intimacy brings forth the birthing of sons and daughters in a marriage covenant. Abiding in the vine produces fruit. This call to intimacy should naturally spread throughout your sphere of influence in a way that permeates your personal and corporate life. Once you have learned them in your own life, you can multiply models of intimacy in others!
